VENTURA, Calif. – Vista del Mar Hospital welcomes two new directors to its leadership team. Lorena Bucholtz has been appointed the Director of Human Resources, and Deleene Walker is the new Director of Outpatient Services.

"We are thrilled to welcome Lorena and Deleene to the team. They each bring diversified knowledge, expertise, professional experience and will be key players as we rebuild the hospital and grow our outpatient programs," said Dan Powell, Chief Executive Officer of Vista del Mar Hospital. "They are both a natural fit for our Vista family, and I am so pleased to have them on board."

Lorena Bucholtz comes to us from USADebusk, where she worked as the Human Resources Business Partner, supporting cross-functional partners in a multi-state, multi-division environment. She also worked in human resources senior management for GPM, OAG, and Pacific Compensation Insurance Company. She holds a Master's of Business Administration and Bachelor's from the University of La Verne and a Professional Certificate in Human Resources Management from CSU Santa Barbara.

With over 25 years of clinical experience in mental health, Deleene Walker brings a tremendous amount of clinical experience from a variety of settings, including inpatient, residential, crisis stabilization, and outpatient treatment facilities. She started her career at Camarillo State Hospital and then transitioned to the Hillmont Psychiatric Center at the Ventura County Medical Center. Over the years, Walker has worked with various mental and developmental health disorders and capacities, including the acute setting through crisis stabilization. She also coordinated discharges and established dispositions for patients. She holds a Master’s of Science in Marriage Family Child Therapy and a Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Phoenix.

Vista del Mar Hospital, which holds The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for Hospital Accreditation, offers inpatient and outpatient programs for adolescents and adults. The hospital specializes in stabilization and dual diagnosis for patients with mental illness and chemical dependency. In addition, Vista del Mar offers comprehensive outpatient services, including the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program and Adolescent/Adult Intensive Outpatient Program. The hospital also serves the military community with evidence-based inpatient and outpatient therapies for active-duty military, Veterans and their families.
