Ventura County Law Enforcement Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)

Please join Vista del Mar Hospital on February 9, 2016 for our next Lunch and Learn, when Mark Stadler of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) will speak on the CIT Program's success and collaboration between law enforcement agencies and community stakeholders.  He will also discuss how the success of the CIT Program has resulted in the reduction of risks and injuries to citizens and officers, resulting in increased public support and confidence in law enforcement.

For this presentation, the learning objectives are:

  • Provide a historical overview of CIT and its implementation in Ventura County
  • Outline the CIT training program and its objectives
  • Demonstrate the measurable success of the CIT program
  • Demonstrate the collaborative strength's and successes of the CIT program

About the presenter:
Mark Stadler: Crisis Intervention Team Program Administrator
Mark Stadler became the Ventura County Law Enforcement CIT Program Administrator in July 2015 after retiring as a Commander from the Ventura Police Department with over 28 years of experience.  Mr. Stadler was a founding member of Ventura County's CIT program in 2001. 

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminology and a Master's degree in Organizational Management from the University of La Verne.  He is a graduate of the California Peace Officer Standards and Training Supervisory Leadership Institute and Command College.  He is an instructor at the Ventura County Criminal Justice Training Center, and an Adjunct Professor for the University of La Verne.
