Judith Broder, MD, founder of The Soldiers Project, will discuss the effect that killing has on our service members as a way to begin to understand the meaning of the phrase moral injury. The consequences of this injury for the mental health of our service members will be discussed, as will therapeutic approaches.

In Our Own Voice (IOOV) is a unique public education program developed by NAMI, where two trained consumer speakers share compelling personal stories about living with mental illness and achieving recovery. Throughout the IOOV presentation, audience members are encouraged to offer feedback and ask questions.

Please join us for this informational Lunch & Learn as a panel of professionals from the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), Adult Crisis Team, Children’s Intensive Response Team (C.I.R.T.) and Patient Advocacy talk about crisis intervention. The panel will also discuss voluntary vs. involuntary hospitalization and hold criteria.

Back by popular demand. We are putting together the best of the best adolescent resources. We asked Aurora Vista’s Adolescent Case Managers to select the resources they felt you should know about. In addition please bring your re-source materials to share. We will have two community resource tables for everyone to share their materials with other professionals.
This course meets the qualifications for 1 hr of CEU credits for MFT & 1 for LCSW as required by the Board of Behavioral Sciences of California-PCE 412 Ca. Board of Nursing Provider #12997.
