Inpatient care is designed to stabilize patients as quickly as possible and return them to an improved level of functioning. Our integrated treatment team includes psychiatrists, internists, registered nurses, case managers/social workers, dieticians, activity therapists, and ancillary nursing staff who work closely with each patient to formulate treatment goals and assess progress in meeting such goals.
Vista del Mar Hospital has historically provided inpatient care for military service members and military families, for inpatient adult and adolescent stabilization and safety, and for adult partial hospitalization.
Vista del Mar Hospital provides inpatient care for adolescents ages 12 through 17 whose acute symptoms require a safe and therapeutic environment. Our team of specialists recognize and understand the unique needs of adolescent patients dealing with emotional and psychological disorders.
At Vista del Mar Hospital, our outpatient services are designed to address the individualized treatment needs and life schedule of our patient. Vista offers both Partial Hospitalization Programing (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programing (IOP) that is centered on evidenced based practices and helping our patient on their path to wellness and recovery.
PHP provides active treatment for individuals with acute mental illness and/or addiction issues. Attendance is Monday through Friday, ranging from two to four weeks. Programing is based on highly structured evidenced based treatment models offered within a safe and therapeutic environment.
IOP provides intensive short term treatment with flexible scheduling to balance treatment needs and everyday responsibilities. Attendance is three days per week, three hours per day (Monday-Friday), with program completion within two to four weeks.
Our Adolescent IOP services help address the struggles of today's teens. Our program is designed to provide tools and build support while connecting teens and their families. The Adolescent IOP meets three times per week as an aftershool program from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
